Converging lens:
Converging lens is the lens in which the parallel rays of light passing through it converge or meet at a single point. Convex lens which is thicker in the centre converges the rays of light passing through it . That is why it is known as converging lens.

Ray diagram helps us to determine location, size, orientation and the type of image that will be formed by the lens.
